MH Buckhead: VIRTUAL Jewish Plant Series – Spicy Ceremonies!

The last session of the Jewish plant series is sure to impress!

We will tackle aromatic plants: the role they played in ancient and modern Jewish rituals. In this workshop, we will explore texts as well as traditional practices that include sweet smelling leaves, flowers, and fruits.

We will cover aromatic rituals from Havdallah  to garlic to spring blossoms, and participants will learn ancient sources for integrating herbs and incense into rituals both  large and small.

Sarah Chandler aka Kohenet Samirah is a Brooklyn-based Jewish Educator, ritualist, artist, activist, and poet, and the founder and CEO of the Shamir Collective. Currently, she serves as the program director of Rememu Yeshiva and a garden educator with Grow Torah A trainer with Taamod, she supports Jewish non-profits in harassment prevention through designing and maintaining respectful workplaces. She teaches, writes, and consults on issues related to Jewish earth-based spiritual practice, farming and mindfulness. Ordained as a Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess) in 2015, she is studying as a shamanic healer apprentice at the Wisdom School of S.O.P.H.I.A and Kabbalistic imaginal dream work at the School of Images.
