Across this 6-week series you’ll delve into your own Jewish identity and values, learn about the importance of Friday night dinners and celebrate Shabbat with peers, and understand what it means to practice Tikkun Olam. Federation’s NextGen Steering Committee is a group of dedicated lay leaders who play a pivotal role in helping Federation professionals create, promote and execute initiatives for Jewish young adults (ages 22-45) and their loved ones. Steering Committee members will work in partnership with Federation professionals to strengthen community, broaden outreach efforts, and support the growth of Jewish identity and philanthropic engagement throughout the Greater Atlanta community. NextGen Atlanta and Slingshot are partnering to mobilize young Jewish emerging leaders as funders and active change agents in this hybrid virtual and in-person program (based on CDC guidelines). The arc of the journey takes participants from the “inside out,” focusing first on the individual and using that as a basis to identify areas for future Jewish leadership. Next cohort coming soon!

The Golda Meir Society is for young philanthropists aged 25-40 who make a commitment of $365-$999 a year to Federation. By joining The Golda Meir Society, you are showing a commitment to the future of our community and the Jewish people. Members will have access to special programming including exclusive speakers and thank you events. 

Ben-Gurion Society is a young leadership society for young philanthropists (ages 25-40) who make a commitment of $1,000 as an individual or $1,800 as a household a year to Federation. As a member of Ben-Gurion Society, you join a group who show leadership by engaging in special programming with dynamic speakers who both educate and inspire people on their philanthropic journey.

Cabinet trains and inspires the most promising young volunteers ages 30-45 for positions of leadership in the Jewish community. Since its founding in 1963, NYLC has successfully attracted individuals who lead at the highest levels of Jewish communal life. Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a teen’s life? NextGen and JumpSpark, the teen initiative at Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, are looking for female-identifying members of the community between the ages of 22-30 ish to serve as mentors for high school women between the ages of 14-18. These teens are part of JumpSpark’s Strong Women Fellowship and are exploring leadership through feminist and Jewish lenses. They are looking to connect with mentors for advice on possible careers, college, and Jewish ideas.
